An OAPs life was saved by a quick-thinking younger woman after she fell backwards down an escalator.
CCTV from a shopping mall in China, shows the moment the elderly lady, thought to be over 70, fell and crashed onto the moving stairway.
A younger woman, spotting the danger, ran to the bottom of the escalator and slams the emergency stop button.
Her actions meant the woman was quickly helped and stopped from getting injured any further.
This is why parents shouldn't let their children stand up in shopping trolleys
Police praised the young woman, and warned that elderly, children, and pregnant women should hold on while riding the escalators.
The accident took place in the city of Nanning.
